Helen Barrie

Dr Helen Barrie is a Research Fellow and the Deputy Director of the Hugo Centre for Migration and Population Research at the University of Adelaide. Her research has a focus on Australia’s changing population and the implications of this for society and communities. Much of this work involves an examination of population diversity; the interaction between people and the built environment; how migration is changing rural Australia and the role of community connectedness and social networks in settlement.

Helen will be joining the session “Skilled and Working: What is working in refugee employment?” on Wednesday 20 February from 1.15pm – 2.45pm.
