Leah Perkins is a Managing Associate at Carina Ford Immigration Lawyers in Melbourne.
Leah advises across all visa subclasses and complex issues and regularly appears before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (Migration and General Divisions) in merits review appeals and also has experience running judicial review matters at the Federal Circuit Court and Federal Court. In addition to her interest in humanitarian visas, Leah has extensive experience in visa cancellations, citizenship and family migration including family violence matters.Leah is responsible for co-ordinating the firm’s pro-bono practice.
Leah is passionate about her work and is a strong advocate for the rights of migrants in Australia. Leah is the current chair of the Law Institute of Victoria’s (LIV) Refugee Law Reform Committee and Citizenship Delays Working Group. She is also a member of the Law Council of Australia’s Migration Committee and LIV Legacy Caseload Working Group.
