Muzafar Ali worked for the United Nations in Afghanistan for seven years. His role as a UN staff member was to strengthen democracy, foster human rights situation and supporting women and other civil society organisations.
During two years in Indonesia as a refugee, Muzafar, with the help of other refugee friends, established a refugee run school known as the Cisarua Refugee Learning Centre. The school is still functional and currently provides education for more than 100 refugee children.
Muzafar regularly raises his voice to advocate on refugee issues on various platforms. He writes and uses his photographs to convey his message.
