The Refugee Camp in My Neighbourhood Project is a side event of the Refugee Alternatives Conference and will be held after the conference from 26 July – 13 August 2021.
Professional development tours are delivered for groups and individuals who wish to learn more about the refugee experience and how they can better support new arrivals in their respective fields. These include health professionals, teachers and other staff working with refugees and people seeking asylum.
Tours are delivered by guides with lived experiences from a range of refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds. Professional development tours provide interactive, experiential learning and will help you:
- Develop your understanding of clients from refugee backgrounds and their skill sets.
- Improve your services to clients from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.
