Roj Amedi experience spans across strategy, organising and media. She is currently the senior human rights and racial justice campaigner at GetUp and Colour Code.
Colour Code is an independent national movement of people of colour and First Nations peoples advocating, campaigning and organising around issues of racial justice.
As a member driven movement, they have stopped discriminatory changes to citizenship and permanent residency, successfully defended Section 18C of the racial discrimination act, and are proving there is an electoral penalty for racism.
Roj is Kurdish and a former refugeee from Iraq.
